Pregnancy test detects human chorionic gonadotropin – a hormone produced the placenta – in urine.
Some pregnant women may not have detectable amounts of hCG in their urine on the day they use the test; the amount of pregnancy hormone increases as pregnancy progresses.
The box contains two pregnancy test sticks so test can be re-taken.
